About our product

In our lives, building pavements is a very complicated task, so there are some small pavement machines with the help of which they can greatly save us time and reduce manpower and maintenance costs.

The concrete power trowel is an important prop in road construction, indoors and some pavement construction. It is generally used to smooth the road surface to make it smooth and smooth. So, how to choose the power trowel that suits you? Its various parts and components. Have you learned about the most important blade structure, its daily maintenance and other issues?

Today I bring you a little knowledge about concrete power (engine pairing, daily maintenance, blade characteristics, how to choose different power trowels for different sites). Continue reading to appreciate the unique architectural style that concrete power trowels give you.

       2.Engine
Compatible engines

HONDA GX160 5.5HP /GX200 6.0HP

 Robin EY20 5.0HP/SABARU EX17 6.0HP

There is also an engine model: B&S 5HP/6.5HP. The above three engines can be used interchangeably on the power spatula.

Note:The engine oil must be changed on time. A newly purchased engine must have its oil changed within a week. Subsequently, the oil can be changed every 70 hours, which is less frequent than its peers (usually 50 hours). Our engine has no gearbox and the maximum speed is 3600 rpm. If the exhaust pipe of the engine cannot be cleaned, oil will enter the cylinder, the engine will not start, and a large amount of white smoke will appear. The engine cannot be cleaned upside down to avoid oil leakage.

3.Routine machine maintenance
Some maintenance knowledge

Do you see the blade in the picture? It is made of No. 65 manganese steel. When we finish using the concrete trowel, turn off the machine and don’t forget to clean the remaining concrete on the steel blade (you need to clean it every time you use it)

Note: If you do not clean the blade, concrete sticking to the spatula will affect the next use. Dry concrete blades are difficult to clean.

The engine can be paired by yourself, and the blades and gears basically do not need to be replaced. Bearings can be used in Japan, Taiwan and other countries, but the prices vary greatly, so you need to make your own decision.

Have you seen where the arrow on the left is pointing? It is the position where the knife arm is lubricated and refueled. No. 3 lithium grease (butter) needs to be added. It is more appropriate to mix it with engine oil, which can make the knife arm work longer. The arrow on the right It is the spring of the blade, which is easy to break. Pay extra attention when fixing the angle of the blade, and it must be cleaned after each use.

The arrow on the left points to the bearing of the trowel, which is an important link between the upper and lower parts of the trowel. After use, concrete will stick to it and must be cleaned. It will affect the operation of the entire machine. If not cleaned, Replacement is troublesome, and the machine may be scrapped directly.

Concrete electric trowel shank (complete)

Concrete electric trowel shank (parts)

The above is a concrete cutter bar. This part basically does not require maintenance. It is generally not damaged. If it is damaged, it will need to be replaced. It will prevent the angle of the power spatula from turning, and it can only be rough grinding but not fine grinding. You need to knock it out with a hard object against the vertical ground.

Note: The first blade of the above blades is used for fine grinding of concrete, the second disc is for rough grinding, and the third blade is used for fine pavement repair. You can arrange the blades reasonably according to the size of your project area. Style (general projects start with disc rough grinding, then fine grinding, and finally fine grinding)。

Blade wear:When a blade wears out, construction workers will easily notice that its edges will thin and peel, looking like wire or aluminum foil. This is a reminder to the blade that it's time to replace it.

Blade rust: Generally speaking, in a ventilated and dry environment, the blade can remain rust-free for half a year. However, in a humid environment, it only takes 2 weeks for the blade to show signs of rust. Treatment method: Use sanding paper to polish the rusty edge of the blade.

Blade replacement: You only need to unscrew two screws on the blade. It is very simple. Our blade cleaning does not require a high-pressure water gun. Just remember to clean it on time after use (ordinary water pipes are fine)
